ISSUE 8 – JUNE 21, 2021 – SPECIAL EDITION
ISSUE 8 From the Editor: Mysti S. Milwee
Congratulations to all my fellow brothers and sisters that have contributed to Issue 8 of Sequoyah Cherokee River Journal. Warmest Welcome, y’all have a “uwoduhi adanvto” (beautiful spirit). Issue 8 highlights a rather diverse beautiful collection of Poetry, Prose, Micro Fiction Short Story, and Collaborations in Poetry: with translations in Cherokee Syllabary by the Editor.
This Issue is also a Special Edition Issue, which includes the winning entry from Poetry Contests For a Cause (Founder Stacy Savage) -Nature Poetry Contest Winner-March 2021, a contest in which I got to be the judge for choosing the winning entry to be placed in Sequoyah Cherokee River Journal, as part of the prize win that included publication in the Journal. The winning recipient for the contest is Brian Beaudry.
The Cover art painted Illustration in Watercolor is illustrated by international award-winning illustrator Mysti S. Milwee. The cover art was rendered while visually reading (receiving imagery from the poem), Beaudry’s award-winning poem “Bathed In Moonbeams.”
